Czechs under the Nazis and the Communists
The tour follows its own thematic and periodic axis, and allows a closer look at the scenes, locations and personalities that played a major role in the dramatic rise and fall of the Bohemian and Moravian Nazi Protectorate and of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. Hear the stories and see the traces left by five decades of totalitarian rules – the crypt in which the
parachutists that assassinated Heydrich fought their last battle (1942), the squares on which the Soviet tanks stood in 1968 and the sight of the famous 1989 demonstration that triggered the Velvet revolution.
