I've sent an email to Rick Steve's website to compliment both of you.  I hope he appreciates all your hard work.
Because of you, you made Prague's history come to life for my whole family.
Thank you and have a wonderful December.

Dear Sylvie,

We have just returned to Israel after four days in Prague. We did two tours only, both with your company. We want you to know how happy we were with both tours.

Paul took us to Theresienstadt - he was absolutely wonderful, showing us and explaining everything in a clear and concise form. He told us such personal details and made us feel for those who went through such terrible times. How they did it and survived is impossible to understand. But Paul is special and we so appreciated the fact that he was our guide.

On the trip to the Jewish Quarter we were fortunate to have Barbora as our guide. Such an enthusiastic young woman, so intelligent and with such a fund of knowledge - she also explained and showed us everything and we were so amazed that such a young woman had so much information and interesting facts to share with us, and so clearly and in such detail.

Could I also say that we were so happy and felt so fortunate that we were such small groups and not like the majority of groups that we saw all around Prague who had thirty and more people in each. There is no doubt that I will reccommend your company to anyone I hear who is going to Prague.

i recently went on one of your tours in prague, and i just wanted to let you know how great our tour guide was. his name was meedo, and he did a great job of teaching us about the history of the jews in prague. i am not usually a tour-person, but i actually enjoyed myself. he kept it simple enough to keep us interested, but gave us enough information so we all learned a great deal. and he was very nice, as well.

just wanted to let you know you have a very good tour guide.

thanks,
shaun k.

I cannot help but rave about our two wonderful tours with your company.  The opportunity to visit Terezin with a survivor guide, and such a guide like Pavel was extraordinary.  It was a privilege and so historically meaningful for my 7 year old son to have experienced history from someone who was actually there. The amount of information we received and the care with which it was expressed was one of the most meaningful historical connections I have ever made.

I did not expect a second tour of the Prague ghetto to be so great after Terezin. But I was once again very very impressed by the depth of knowledge of our guide Barbora who was a student of Jewish studies, had her own family history connecting her to the past, and just very informed about everything. I watched groups breeze by with and here is a synagogue, and just marvelled at the depth of the presentations given to us.
I am most greatful for both experience.

Attention - note for your guide, Marketta.

Dear Marketta,

We are now home in Sydney after spending a few days in Bangkok. We wanted to say how much we enjoyed our tour of the Jewish Quarter when in Prague and we both wish we had more than five days to spend in Prague, it is such a beautiful city.

Just to let you know how grateful we are to have had the privilege of Pavel Stransky guiding us and sharing his experiences in Teresin last Tuesday. Thank you so much for facilitating this and to Pavel for sharing his experiences with us – it can’t be easy for him to go back there with groups and relive his experiences. Please pass on our thanks to him.

We also thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Jewish quarter last Monday morning with our young guide whose name I have forgotten.  She was great – very interesting, knowledgeable and friendly.

Generally, the Wittman tours lived up to its high reputation.  Thank you.

Kind regards

Cheryl F.

Hi Marta. Please let Syvie know how much we enjoyed our Wittmann tours in and around Prague. In particular it was an honour to be guided on the Terezin tour by Pavel Stransky. We, and the 3 other couples that joined with us, were thrilled and humbled to have him guiding us. Thanks, as well, for arranging to pick us up at the Hilton.
Maquetta (?spelling) who led our Golden Prague tour was also excellent.
We will recommend your company to anyone we know going to Prague--in fact, we already have!
We hope you will continue to offer excellent quality tours, with a Jewish perspective.
Regards,
Glenn and Dene C.

Joseph and I are home from our trip and of course we cannot stop talking about you! We loved touring with you and we are so glad you made us go to Terezin.  We have recommended you to our travel agent and anyone else who is heading your way. We had an interesting tour in Budapest with Eva and she sends her regards.

Thanks again,

Linda H.

Dear Sylvia - had a wonderful tour to Terezin with one of your guides on Friday - will pass your company name along to some friends from Philadelphia who will be traveling to Prague later this summer.

June 6, 2008

Dear Sylvie,

My daughter, two cousins and I took two Wittmann tours last week in Prague. The second tour was to Terezin on May 27 and we were honored to have Paul as a guide. It was incredibly meaningful listening to him and hearing about his experiences both there and in Auschwitz. The tour was excellent, and although it was difficult for us, we were all glad we made the trip.

We loved Prague and were sorry we couldn't stay longer. It is a beautiful city and we all enjoyed our time there.

Most sincerely,

Deedy E.

Dear Sylvie:
Just a note to tell you that my Wittmann tours of Terezin and the Ghetto were both very informative. The leader of the Terezin tour provided useful information about Czech history as a context for Terezin. I felt that he know a great deal, but was strangely not interested in events of which he was not aware. (I am writing a holocaust book and therefore have a little uncommon knowledge of the relevant history.) The leader of the Ghetto tour (sorry--I'm bad with names,
blonde and pregnant) was extremely helpful: offered a surprising amount of information, was warm, and completely helpful.
I really appreciate your organization and plan to sample more of your wares on our next trip to Prague.

Thank you so much for the wonderful tours. I was a bit depressed when I arrived since I did not speak the language and was tired of being alone (I was in Vienna on business). Both guides were wonderful and I enjoyed the companionship of the members in my groups. It is interesting that I ran into many of the participants during my stay. You obviously attract many clients who think alike. It is amazing how easy it was to grieve in Terezin and have fun in the Jewish quarter with fellow Jews from all over the world.

Your company's reputation is well deserved. I would be happy to act as a reference.

Sincerely yours,

Ira L.

Hello from Linda and Matt C.,

First, let us begin by thanking you for our most memorable visit to Prague.  Both days seeing the country through "Jewish Eyes" was an experience that we are still absorbing and trying to retell to all of our friends and family.  (We think everyone needs to really see for themselves).  Our time with Pavel was a living page out of history. It put so many human faces of tragedy and survival on our history.  We wish him continued strength and good health.

Sylvie, you are a walking history book, vibrant, funny, and brilliant, as well!  We wish we had a tape recorder of all you shared with us. Our daughters our treasuring the beautiful Challah covers hand painted by your artist friend.  We would like very much to share her background and story of how she came to find out she was Jewish.  We feel it would be most significant to tell at our Passover Seder this Saturday, April 19th. Isn't this an example of coming out of "mitzrayim?"  We are deeply moved by her story and history and want to bring it to our seder.  We hope you find a few minutes to forward it to us.

With warm regards,
Linda and Matt C.

Dear Jitka,

Thank you for arranging for our tour of Terezin with Helen this past week. The students and I greatly appreciate the insights and history that she shared with us. It provided a necessary context for them to understand the time, the place and the importance of the events that took place there. Please pass along our special thanks to Helen for sharing her expertise with us.

Sincerely,

Charlie R.
