A combined tour of Terezín and Lidice – the memorial site of the small Czech mining-town, in which all the men and boys over the age of 16 were shot (172 persons), while the women and children were deported to concentration camps, in June 1942.
The liquidation of Lidice (village as such and its people) was Hitler’s reprisal for the assassination of Reinhardt Heydrich, the President of the Wansee Conference and Deputy Reich Protector of Bohemia and Moravia on May 27th, 1942.
